WHO WE ARE
A group of young men from Area 5, led by the late Armando 'Supremo" Solomon got together on May 16, 1988 and was united to create the Area Five YouthOrganization (AFYO) to provide a platform where young people can showcase their ability, adaptability, and resiliency to address the needs and assess the concerns and issues in their community to build a better society.
To continue the initiated intervention of AFYO to the community in terms of solving community problems, the organization was once again re-established on May 16, 2010 by Rodrigo βDickβ Apao and was officially known as the Maya Street Youth Organization (MSYO) a Civil Society Organization whose principal programs, projects, and activities are youth-related and youth-oriented but whose compositions are not limited to the youth.
